Reaching Up - to Worship
Worship is an essential element of being in relationship to God. Worship services are at 8:45 AM, 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM on Sundays. Wednesday evening prayer time and Bible study begin at 6:00 PM. Worship brings people into the presence of God and His Powerful presence is experienced through traditional hymns and praise choruses, prayers, giving, drama and the proclamation of God's Word.
Reaching Out - to Evangelize
Evangelism is the natural outgrowth of true worship. The Great Commandment tells us to love God and to love our neighbor. Love for neighbor means we would want them to know about the love of God that sent Jesus Christ to the cross to die for the sin of the world. The heart of First Baptist's outreach is its G.R.O.W. program that takes place on Tuesday nights at 6:30 PM. Special events supplement the regular avenues of reaching people for the kingdom of God. Evangelism is a core value of our church.
Reaching In - to Disciple
Jesus told his disciples to reproduce by teaching new believers to obey everything I have commanded you.
Discipleship is more than a program. It takes place in many different places and at many different times. Growth takes place through small groups and specific classes offered during Discipleship Training, as well as through the life situations encountered daily by Christians. First Baptist is here to help people grow.
