First Baptist Church of Wiggins MS

Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the uttermost . . .

First Baptist Church of Wiggins is committed to missions.  This committment can be seen through the different activities of the church members. FBC supports seasonal mission offerings such as the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering (LMCO) for International Missions and the North American Board's Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. FBC was recognized as the highest per capita church in giving to the LMCO in 2006 in the Gulf Coast Baptist Association. Giving is not all the church does in mission support. Frequent trips are made by church members to Guatemala and other foreign countries. Our Men's Ministry is constantly involved in looking for local projects through which they can minister to real needs.

Hosting World Changers Again in 2011!

First Baptist has had the pleasure of hosting World Changers for the past two years. World Changers is a hands-on youth mission involvement activity in a camp setting sponsored by the North American Mission Board of the SBC. Youth from several states come together, along with chaperons and team leaders to build, roof, paint, clean, etc. FBC Wiggins will be hosting World Changers during the week of March 14-19, 2011. The church provides the place to sleep and eat and youth teams spread out during the day to do work projects.

Our Daily Bread Food Pantry

First Baptist Church of Wiggins participates in the local food pantry, Our Daily Bread, which supplies food and other necessities of life to many citizens of Wiggins.  The local population continues to grow at a rapid pace indicating that this service will continue to be of need.
